January Meeting - Developing Contract First Web Services with Spring-WS

Welcome back for a new year and our first meeting for 2007.

ABSTRACT:
There are several Java frameworks available that will “web service-ize” your Java classes. But every time your class changes, your web service contract changes, too. But there is another approach - develop your web service contract *first*. And Spring-WS will help you develop you web services just this way, all the while enjoying Springy goodness.

BIO:
An avid supporter of open source Java technologies, Ryan Breidenbach has been developing enterprise Java applications for the past six years. He is also co-author of Spring in Action, a real world look at how to build J2EE applications using the Spring Framework. Ryan is currently a Senior Software Engineer for Countrywide Financial.

WHEN:
January 17th (3rd Wednesday)

  • Social - 6:30 PM
  • Meeting - 7:00 PM

WHO TO TELL:
Tell your friends in the office who are interested in web services and how to use Spring-WS.

WHERE TO GO:
Our meetings are at Nerdbooks in Richardson TX. Directions can be found on their website.
*** Nerdbooks is our location sponsor and is providing a meeting place. Show up early and take a look at their large selection of Java related books.
